A new, near-infrared Fabry-Perot spectrometer system is described. The instrument uses a commercial etalon in combination with a cooled grating spectrometer to achieve resolutions (λ/Δλ) of ≡103 - 105 in the 2 - 5 μm wavelength region. A custom housing supplies mechanical support, rigidity, versatility in optical layout, and laboratory wavelength references for several astrophysically important transitions.
