A three-component zonal model of the Earth's climate based on thermohydrodynamic equations for the atmosphere, ocean and terrestrial ice covers is proposed. Sensitivity of the system to changes in initial conditions and also to variations of the solar heat inputs and continent fraction in investigated. Steady-state climate appears to persist in a wide range of perturbed solar constant regimes.
