We have constructed a new class of exact, nonlinear solutions to the
Grad-Shafranov equation, representing force-free magnetic fields with
translational symmetry. These exact solutions are pertinent to the study
of magnetic structures in the solar corona that are subjected to
photospheric shearing motions.
