We have identified a new, bright double-mode RR Lyr-type variable in the Northern Sky Variable Survey (NSVS 5152353 = GSC 3047-176). This find significantly increases the sample of RRd variables known in the galactic field which are bright enough for high-resolution spectroscopic analysis. RRd variables provide a sensitive test of theoretical pulsation models. Incorporating high-precision follow-up photometry on 32 nights during 2004, we find that the two dominant photometric periods for this star are P_0=0.35298 \pm 0.00002 days and P_1=0.47460 \pm 0.00004 days. No fewer than 11 significant frequencies are apparent in the power spectrum of the time series. The star is located in Boötes at J2000.0 coordinates 14:53:39.93 +40:31:43.4 and has a mean apparent magnitude of approximately V=12.5.
