Results of the photometric analysis of the solar corona of July 11, 1991 are presented. These results are used together with corona data of June 20, 1974 to demonstrate the discrepancy between conventional quantitative descriptions of coronal shapes and the actual corona configurations. The need for the revision of the conventional view of the relationship between the corona structure and the solar activity cycle is emphasized.
