The observation that stars in galaxies have constant period for a large region from the center is used to specify the line element of the space-time. The matter distribution is calculated from the field equations. Neglecting Machian effects, and using the geodesics of Chandrasekhar (1983), one constraint is placed on the line element of the specified region.
