Results of an exploratory analysis of the suggestion of Straniero (1991) to obtain, through the Delta(V) method, an age-metallicity for Galactic globular clusters in the alpha-enhanced scenario are presented. A new lower limit is derived for the age of the universe (about 17 Gyr). This value is discussed in the light of other observational constraints in the Hubble parameter-density parameter plane.
