We describe an application of a new technique of image coding to
astronomy in the near infrared at a wavelength of two microns. The code
is materialised by a grid with transmission properties allowing real
time decoding using the Fast Hadamard Transform. This method allows one
to approach the theoretical angular resolution of the telescope.
