By means of Wood's model we have reanalyzed the new UBV and uvby lightcurves (Chambliss and Leung, 1982) of the eclipsing binary VV Ori, in order to check the determinacy of its photometric elements. Our seven independent solutions of these seven lightcurves appreciably differ from Chambliss and Leung's (1982) results derived from a simultaneous analysis of all lightcurves by means of Wilson and Devinney's method. This indicates that, mainly in view of the inapplicability of the constraint of a single geometry on all lightcurves, the lightvariation of this detached system is not without complications.
The primary is a normal BlV star, whereas the middle B secondary seems to be too small for its mass.
