A new polarimeter capable of simultaneous observations in the U, B, V, R and I optical bands and one of the J, H, K, L and M near-infrared bands has been constructed. The polarimeter has good polarization efficiency and sensitivity in all bands and has an instrumental polarization less than 0.03 per cent. The polarimeter has been used for a number of different astrophysical programs.
