The upwelling radiance from the vector radiative transfer model established in Part I is compared with Chandrasekhar's analytic solutions for a conservative Rayleigh scattering atmosphere. The results from the model and the theory agree well for either an optically-thin or thick atmosphere. The polarized brightness temperatures at microwave frequencies from the model are compared with results from Stamnes' intensity model for a precipitating atmosphere.
