This study combines the two data sets obtained by Galileo's Solid State Imager (SSI, a CCD camera) and Near Infrared Mapping Spectrometer (NIMS) of the Jovian satellite Europa. The data sets are combined in order to take advantage of the combined visible and infrared wavelength range to study the composition of the optical surface of Europa and to map such compositions into the visual wavelength features.
