A model is proposed for a moving source of the field of 60-year variations. With an allowance for the motion of the source, the geometrical attenuation, and the induced shielding, analytical formulas are obtained for the components of the magnetic field at the earth's surface. Numerical calculations are made on the basis of these components, and the results are analyzed.
