A molecular survey of three dark clouds in Taurus - L1495, L1517 and L1489 -, has been carried out in the J = 1-0 line of 13CO and C18O with the Bordeaux 2.5-m telescope. Correlation of 13CO projected densities, derived in the LTE approximation, with H2 column densities derived from star counts, has been investigated in detail. L1495 shows a complex velocity structure that the authors interpret as being due to the interaction of at least two filaments. L1517 also shows a double filamentary structure with a simple velocity gradient, while L1489 is a small and dense globule embedded in a low density, roughly spherical, envelope.
