A dynamic model of the cloud of gas surrounding the radio source Sagittarius B2 is proposed that explains features of gas kinematics in this source, namely, contraction of the core and rotation of the periphery. Initially the stability of the cloud is sustained by the motion of the gas, whose energy is dissipated as heat as a result of magnetic viscosity. This process occurs at a more rapid rate in the denser core of the cloud, which begins to collapse; the envelope, however, remains stable. Parameters of the original cloud and various features of the collapse are calculated. Conditions in the core at the moment of fragmentation into masses of stellar order are assessed.
