A numerical model of the accretion process of matter falling from an outer, flattened accretion cloud onto a binary system with given masses and geometrical parameters is presented. The accretion process is sensitive to the mass ratio of two components of the system and the orbital angular momentum of the infalling matter. The main result of the present paper is the observation of the mass equalizing effect of accretion: the less massive component can accrete more matter than the more massive one.
