The author calculates model continuum spectra of the accretion disk in the black hole binary A0620-00, assuming it has a standard α-disk structure. The optical and X-ray fluxes obtained are in very good agreement with the observations, provided the mass transfer rate is ≡5×10-8M_sun;yr-1 during outburst and less than ≡10-11M_sun;yr-1 in quiescence. The absence of significant X-ray emission in quiescence is a natural consequence of the relatively low temperatures encountered in accretion disks with very low mass throughput.
