Scientific paper

Equations are obtained describing the polarization of the light of
planets without atmospheres at small phase angles (up to 30 deg). It is
assumed that the negative polarization is due to a combination of the
shadow effect with single and double quasi-Fresnel light reflections
from microfacets of particles.
