The need to explore Pluto is discussed. Two unmanned spacecraft with
sensitive instruments will be required for the 10-15 year voyage to
Pluto. Consideration is given to studying the surface and composition of
Pluto and Charon and determining the mass and diameter of Pluto. An
example of a mission scenario is given.
