We present the results of a sensitive radio survey of 22 previously unobserved magnetic cataclysmic variable stars (MCVs), made by the Very Large Array (VLA) and the Australia Telescope Compact Array. In addition, we summarize the results of previous observations of 15 MCVs made with the VLA. None of the 37 MCVs were detected. Extensive observations of the star V834 Cen have failed to detect significant emission, suggesting that either the high flux densities previously reported by Wright et al. (1988) for this source are incorrect, or that it produces occasional transient emissions.
