Scientific paper
The Single Pass Orbit Improvement to estimate the dynamic precision of observation is proposed. It has distinctly physical meaning, and avoids the uncertainty of the power of polynomial and the smoothing factor ?. Therefore, the dynamic precision obtained from Single Pass Orbit Improvement is more believable than from Least Square Fitting, and Vondrak Smoothing Method. In addition, Single Pass Orbit Improvement can reflect the abnormal jumpiness of observations, which is favorable for estimating the precision of instruments accurately and improving instruments further.
