A coordinate method for the construction of the analytical theory of planetary satellite motion is presented. The method is based on an intermediate orbit which includes all of the inequalities due to the influence of the second zonal harmonic of the planetary attraction potential. The method makes it possible to construct the gravitational theory of satellite motion in a purely trigonometric form.
