A technique for deriving precession expressions employed in data processing is discussed. The method is shown to be more suitable for computer processing, easier to adapt to future demands for raising the accuracy of the expressions, and easier to comprehend than the traditional method. Furthermore, the technique allows the variation of the dynamical equation of the rotation of the earth to be easily treated and the set of fundamental quantities to be easily changed. The method is used to derive a set of precession expressions up to the fourth power of time interval.
