B and V photometry have been obtained for 2250 stars down to a limiting magnitude of B = 24.5 on CCD images of two regions in the Local Group galaxy, WLM. The results are used to study the star formation history of dwarf irregular galaxies. The color-magnitude diagrams are compared with synthetic diagrams produced using a simulation code based on theoretical models of stellar evolution. The characteristics of the star formation activities in the two regions studied are discussed in detail.
