An attempt is made to increase the resolution of a statistical criterion proposed by Agekyan (1982) for studying the visible star and galactic field. This is accomplished by finding moments of the third, fourth, and higher orders and thus obtaining exact expressions for seminvariants of the random variable. This makes it possible to refine the critical values that limit the confidence interval of the random variable.
