Scientific paper

A modification for the chain adjustment of the coordinates of stars is
proposed. It enables a correction for instrumental and refraction
errors, if they are linear night trends. The method is tested for group
as well as for non-group observations. The advantages of the method are
shown using Pulkovo time service observations.
