The National Virtual Observatory (NVO) is a project conceived by the Astronomy Decadal Survey designed to produce the framework and tools necessary for the analysis, visualization, object classification and cross-correlation of all types of astronomical observation. The WIYN Open Cluster Study has begun a new initiative in which members of the WOCS collaboration may expose portions of their data to the standard NVO protocols and services, thereby making the data available to the community and taking advantage of NVO cross-correlation and data analysis tools.The publication of WOCS represents a new challenge for the National Virtual Observatory standards because it constitutes a body of data unlike that of existing NVO affiliates. The WOCS data are uniform, but not unified. That is, they conform to a standardized data collection practice, but they are inhomogeneous and without central organization. WOCS is also among the NVO participants who will fill a gap among data providers between individual contributors to public repositories (such as ADIL) and large projects contributing tens to hundreds of terabytes (such as 2MASS).The WOCS NVO server is in the early stages of deployment, and not yet available to the public. Presently, we are testing a preliminary system in which data are automatically parsed for basic information (image and object positions, exposure time, instrumentation data, etc.) and offered from the server. The eventual production of a general-purpose tool useful for similar NVO data services is an objective of this project.
