Observations of HZ43 have shown that there are significant spatial variations in the low energy QE of the HRC-I. We propose to observe the Vela supernova remnant which is very bright below the C K-edge with a peak around 200eV. With a 40ksec observation of the Vela remnant, we will obtain 5% photon statistics on arcminute scales across the entire HRC-I. On these scales, the PSPC observation of the Vela remnant can be used to correct for any spatial nonuniformities in the surface brightness of the remnant.
