In the absence of proper motions or spectra, the membership and structure of open clusters may be investigated with knowledge of the cluster's color magnitude diagram. A rough estimate of the cluster membership is made by picking stars based on their position in the color magnitude diagram relative to the cluster's isochrone. These techniques often yield large uncertainties in determinations of features such as the tidal radius and mass function. The matched filter analysis technique has previously been applied to tidal streams, globular cluster tidal tails and other low-signal situations to produce optimal contrast of cluster stars against the field. We present an analysis of the old open cluster M67 from SDSS data using this technique to measure its surface profile and estimate its mass function. We have been able to independently measure the tidal radius without proper motion or radial velocity information, and have identified possible extra-tidal features at larger radii. By testing this method with simulated cluster data we are able to test the accuracy and consistency of the matched filter analysis. This technique is very efficient for analyzing large data sets such as the SDSS and will be valuable for many future surveys such as LSST and PanSTARRS.
