A quantitative model of the geomagnetospheric magnetic field is proposed which takes into account the effect of warping the tail current sheet in two dimensions due to the geodipole tilt, along with spatial variations of the current sheet thickness along the sun-earth and dawn-dusk directions. A two-step indirect approach is used to obtain the corresponding analytic forms for the magnetic field components. Model magnetic field distributions are compared with geosynchronous measurements.
