A technique is proposed whereby the effect of the reflection of a radio signal from the lunar surface creates a radio interferometer of the marine interferometer type. The characteristics of the reflected signal are numerically analyzed in terms of a model of the moon in the form of a specular sphere, and allowance for chaotic variations of lunar surface relief is made. The technique also accounts for the time stability of the signal phase variations and interferometer sensitivity.
