On the basis of UBV photometry of the eclipsing binary RX Geminorum, obtained between 1967 and 1971, a photometric solution is obtained which allows for an uneven surface brightness distribution on, gas streaming towards, and circumstellar material around the A-type component. The U-B and B-V at maximum and minimum, the depth of the secondary minimum, and deviations in light from the computed curve indicate the presence of a luminous ring surrounding the A star. This ring is calculated to contain about 0.2 billionths solar mass of matter with a density of about 3 trillion particles per cu cm. There is evidence of a polar hot spot and an equatorial hot spot on the A star.
