The properties of a nonstandard universe of h approximately equal to 0.1 and Omega(0) approximately equal to 10 are discussed. These properties are contrasted with those of the standard universe of h approximately equal to 1 and Omega(0) approximately equal to 0.1 where h is given by the Hubble term H(0) = 100h km/s Mpc and Omega(0) is the density parameter. The formation of large-scale structures and associated bulk streaming motions is favored by the nonstandard universe. Distance indicators may fail to reach beyond the sub-Hubble region due to streaming irregularities. Redshift-distance law fails to reach fully developed Hubble flow and tends to breakdown. Observers may wrongly conclude that they occupy the standard universe by mistaking streaming dilation in the sub-Hubble sphere for Hubble flow. The importance of making explicit the dependence of measurements of H(0) on Omega(0) is emphasized.
