The run-out measurements are used as a most easily method to detect axis oscillation. In this report, a method to set up the axis of the paraboloid of revolution, such as the main reflector of the Nobeyama Radioheliograph, by measurement of a run-out is considered. In order to set up the axis, we have to control an inclination of the axis and an eccentricity of the axis together. If the horizontal component of the measured run-out value of a slanted axis becomes constant by tuning up an inclination, the axis becomes perpendicular. Next, if the vertical component of the measured run-out value of the axis away from the center becomes constant by tuning up an eccentricity, the axis comes to the center. A general part having a solid of revolution can be applied to this work method in addition to a paraboloid of revolution.
