The instability of an isothermal magnetized accretion disc is examined. It is shown that the radial and the azimuthal magnetic fields B_r, B_phi are dominant in enhancing the instability of the magneto-acoustic modes, and that the radial pulsational oscillations are larger than those in the z direction. Finally, we use our model to explain the variability of FU Orionis and T Tauri stars.
