A differential corrections program, DIFCORR, for improving initial parameter estimates, determining simple and partial correlation coefficients for the parameters, and providing a statistical test of the residuals is presented. The program performance is demonstrated using simulated observational data for a contact binary system. Starting with parameters that are relatively remote from the true values, the program is shown to recover the system parameters with high precision. It is noted that the program also provides a means of assessing incipient solution singularity.
