Up to date, a puzzling question in stellar astrophysics concerns the large dispersion in the Rotation-Lithium content relationship. As shown by a large number of authors, in spite of the fact that fast rotators evolved stars present also high Li abundance log n(Li), it is now well established that evolved stars slow rotators present a large range of log n(Li) from about -1.5 to the cosmic value. The discrepancy between the location of the discontinuities in rotation and log n(Li) for low mass evolved stars seems to reflect the sensitivity of such dispersion to the stellar mass and to deepening in mass of the convective envelope. In the present study we show that the drop in rotation of subgiant and giant stars requires an increase in the deepening in mass of the convective envelope small than that required for the sudden decrease in log n(Li). This analysis is based on a large sample of about 400 bona fide F-, G- and K-type subgiant and giant stars, with evolutionary status determined by HIPPARCOS trigonometric parallax measurements. The stellar masses as well as the mass of the convective envelopes were determined following the approach by do Nascimento, J.D.Jr., Charbonnel, C., Lèbre, A., de Laverny, P., De Medeiros, J.R. (2000, A&A 357, 931).
