The scientific capability of deep extragalactic surveys with an infrared camera (IRC) onboard ASTRO-F is presented. ASTRO-F will be launched in early 2004, and (about) 1 degree square ultra-deep as well as (about) 10 degree square medium-deep surveys are planned with the IRC, in order to study the star formation history in galaxies, as well as the structure formation of the universe.
