Relative statistical analyses of the three-dimensional spatial distribution of 7000 quasars from the Hewitt-Burbidge catalog are presented. If the positional coordinates for a standard Friedmann cosmology are used, the results indicate that quasars with absorption features are at the centers of large-scale (1000 Mpc or more) inhomogeneities in the overall spatial distribution of quasars. These inhomogeneities are manifest as a deficit of quasars around quasars with absorption spectra. The density of quasars around these absorption quasars is half that around non-absorption quasars. This effect is present at all redshifts considered.
