A large infrared uncooled telescope for high sensitivity and high
spatial resolution measurements for a series of flights on Spacelab is
described. The principal emphasis is on operations in the 30 microns to
1 mm ground-inaccessible wavelength region. The scientific objectives of
LIRTS are summarized.
