Observations of three solar flares are described. The three occurred successively in two active regions, and the last one showed one of the longest strands of] he flaring region connecting the two active regions. The strands reached 0.44 solar radius in length (340,000 km). The flares, their associated filaments, and the loop prominence system (post-flare loops) are described phenomenologically. More than 100 photographs taken with an H-alpha telescope are included, along with isophot plots and drawings.
