The spectrum of the nebulous object in the dark cloud L 723 was observed
with a two-dimensional photon counting system on a 6-m telescope. This
object turned out to be a high-velocity jet outflowing from an infrared
source. It is suggested that the density in the jet is higher than the
observed density of the ionized gas.
