Hydrodynamic pulsation simulations of yellow supergiants under subharmonic resonance have been performed. The subharmonic feature is found to remain stable over long periods of time, suggesting that it might be a permanent feature of the model. A RV TAu feature results from enhancement of the subharmonic of the driving mode, and it is suggested that enhancment of the subharmonic in the model results from modal coupling between the driving mode (30) and the damped mode (10). The results suggest that generation of subharmonics may play an essential part in the oscillations of RV Tau stars.
