Observational data taken of M 87 are analyzed to characterize the properties of the radio jet and condensation at the core. Microdensimetric measurements of the photographs taken with a 3.5 m telescope furnished a thorough resolution of the jet, a filament, and condensation structures. Electrochromographic measurements of the emissions data yielded polarimetric data on intensity and direction of the emissions, as well as the composition. Comparisons of optical and visual data indicated that the condensation emissions were nonthermal synchrotron radiation from high energy electrons. The jet was continuous and perpendicular to the axis of M 87. The condensations covered an area with a 30-100 pc diameter. Further observations in the UV regions are recommended in order to better characterize the jet features at different wavelengths.
