The 4th positive bands of (13)C(16)O, A1Pi approaches X1Sigma(+), at wavelengths from 1370 to 1600 A have been photographed at high resolution in emission from a jet discharge in mixtures of Ar + (13)CO2. The A1Pi upper-state term values for low to medium J-values in v' = 0 to 9 have been established with an estimated accuracy of +/- 0.1/cm, and the percentage 1Pi character of strongly perturbed levels in v' = 0 and 6 has been evaluated. In addition, the C-13 isotope shifts have been measured for several multiplets in the spectra of C I and C II.
