A high-dispersion analysis of the giant star in 57 Tucanae is presented, in addition to some observational data for Arcturus. The observational data were obtained with the ESO CASPEC spectrograph with a resolution on the order of 20,000 and an S/N ratio on the order of 25. It is shown that although the star is fainter than any former star observed at high dispersion in 47 Tucanae, the high temperature reduced continuum tracing problems. The derived iron/hydrogen abundance ratio of 0.8 (+ or - 0.2) is found to be in good agreement with the most recent low-dispersion and photometric results.
