The mathematical theory of cluster analysis (see, e.g., Andenberg 1973) provides different methods to distribute a set of objects into a set of clusters. We have adapted this method for the founding and the description of (sub)structures in galaxy clusters. An overview of the method is here rapidly described as well as application upon three Abell clusters.
