The current solar minimum is clearly unusual in a variety of ways, including length, solar wind pressure, cosmic ray flux, and marked absence of sunspots. This talk will compare the current minimum with the previous one in terms of its helioseismic and subsurface flow characteristics. The helioseismic characteristics are primarily activity-related changes in the frequencies, amplitudes and lifetimes. The relevant flows are the torsional oscillation, meridional flow, subsurface vorticity, and the subsurface rotation rate.
