A hard X-ray coded mask imaging system has been developed and tested on a balloon flight. This paper describes the estimated performance of the telescope and the various factors (e.g. spatial resolution, non-uniform spatial distribution of detector background, in-flight rotational and translational movements of the payload), that affect the imaging capability of the overall system.
