A galaxy dominated by dark mass everywhere save the nucleus, where visible matter prevails, is presently modeled by a general relativistic, hydrostatic, and asymptotically flat model with four spherically symmetric regions, each of which is assigned a specific profile density. The end of the galaxy is marked by a vanishing of the pressure; in the model, this condition generates a density jump at the outer region of the galaxy, and as a consequence, there is a change in the slope of the orbital velocity of test particles there. This sudden density jump is proposed to be a possible source of gamma-ray bursts.
